The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for qualified plumbers and pipefitters to join a local maintenance team at a major coal terminal in the Mackay region. You'll work on essential facility and infrastructure systems that keep the site operating safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and minor installations on facility plumbing and site piping systems
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, and associated infrastructure
  • Support shutdowns and planned maintenance activities as required
  • Troubleshoot faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and site personnel to ensure safe, reliable operations
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
  • Adhere to site safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture

What you'll bring

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • Applicants must hold a QBCC Plumbing & Drainage occupational (or higher) licence. Preference will be given to candidates who also hold Gas fitting and Water-based Fire System – Install & Maintain endorsement/licence class.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance work within an industrial, facility or infrastructure environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings/plans and working independently or as part of a team environment.
  • Strong level of communication and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Open drivers licence and reliable vehicle
  • Coal Board Medical (desirable)
  • Standard 11 (desirable)
  • MSIC – or ability to pass background checks to obtain
  • High Risk Work Licence – EWP and/or Forklift
