Northern Star Resources have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Geotechnical Technician at our world-class, KCGM Super pit Operation. The successful candidate will be providing logistical and administrative support to our Geotechnical team. Working a 11-hour day on an 8:6 roster, full-time, Kalgoorlie-based residential role, allows for great work-life balance, and an optimal lifestyle in the Goldfields.

Requirements

Essential

• Intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Current unencumbered Western Australian Licence.

Preferred

• Experience working in Geotechnical or Geology support roles.
• Experience in geotechnical monitoring systems including; Slope stability monitoring radars, prisms, and vibrating wire piezometers.
• Basic knowledge and experience in database applications.
• Experience in mine surveying methods.
• Working knowledge of electronics and radio telecommunications.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of mine planning software.
