Job Description

naAs a Securities Lending Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and operational support of OMIG's securities lending function. This role involves ensuring smooth trade settlement, accurate reconciliation, and efficient operational processes that underpin the integrity of our securities lending activity.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, from traders and custodians to counterparties, to ensure operational excellence and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role in a dynamic team that values precision, collaboration, and innovation.

What You'll Be Trusted With

• Accurately capturing, confirming, and settling all securities lending transactions within agreed timelines (loans, returns, and collateral).
• Managing and reconciling loan positions, collateral, and cash movements.
• Ensuring accurate processing of corporate events, dividends, and manufactured payments related to loaned securities.
• Resolving settlement discrepancies promptly with custodians and counterparties.
• Liaising with the trading desk, custodians, and other internal teams to ensure efficient operational flow.
• Identifying opportunities to automate or streamline processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Adhering to internal controls, operational risk guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
• Supporting audit and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and control evidence.
• Preparing monthly billing, deal summaries, and reports for management and clients.
• Contributing to ad-hoc operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

You bring:

• A BCom or equivalent tertiary qualification (mandatory).
• 2–4 years' experience in securities lending or investment operations.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Working knowledge of SLAMS and HiPort (advantageous).
