Change & Communications Lead

About the Project

Join a major transformation initiative that will redefine how a critical part of a major utility business operates. As a key member of the project team, you will be at the forefront of replacing an essential business tool that has been in use since 2009. This is more than a technology upgrade; it's a strategic program focused on transforming people, processes, and technology to enable new ways of working and deliver a next-generation experience.

The Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Change & Communications Lead to drive the execution and delivery of our transformation strategy. You will work closely with a dedicated Project Manager, Product Owner, and BA Lead to ensure a seamless transition for both internal teams and our external network of customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively engaging with impacted user groups to ensure full awareness and readiness.
  • Serving as a key contact and managing the change champion network.
  • Prioritising change activities and messaging to align with project schedules.
  • Developing high-quality change artifacts, including impact assessments, training needs analyses, and readiness assessments.
  • Creating compelling communications across all mediums-from formal executive communications and presentations to digital assets like videos (storyboarding, scripting, filming, and production).
  • Co-designing the change experience for employees and customers, focusing on business needs and project timelines.

About You

You are a seasoned change management professional with a track record of success in complex, regulated industries. You have:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing change deliverables and outcomes.
  • Certification in a recognised change methodology, such as Prosci ADKAR or Kotter's 8-Step Change Model.
  • Strong experience in both internal and external communications, with the ability to execute on a wide range of written, verbal, and visual assets.
  • Proven experience in developing core change documentation and materials.
