We are currently seeking an enthusiastic ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/CREDIT MANAGER to join our Finance team based in Balcatta, Perth, Western Australia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Accountable credit control process and policies across Ampac Australia, New Zealand and Europe including assess and advising of creditworthiness of all potential customers, monitoring existing clients, coordinate terns of credit and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Administer and maintain credit insurance policies, ensuring aligns with business risk, including detailed financial analysis to evaluate risk levels in extending credit.
  • Collaborating with other departments to manage customer limits and payments in line with Halma internal controls and Delegation of Authority.
  • Administrate and maintain Personal Property and Securities Register (PPSR)
  • Prepare all month end reporting requirements for credit control, such as aged debtor narrations, doubtful debt calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and customer rebates.
  • Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Daily banking and allocation of receipts and payments to customer and creditor accounts
  • Ad hoc work as required to backup Finance Team
  • Timely response to customer requests (Statement runs and issuing of intercompany invoices)
  • Assists with audit requests relating to credit control
  • Monitoring of shared email and overflow calls

Competency - To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in MS Suite with advance MS excel
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

  • Professional self-improvement and to maintain a high standard of knowledge and expertise to enable growth with the organisation
  • University Degree in Business and/or Finance and/or Commerce or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in financial management.
