The Islamic College of Brisbane (ICB) is seeking a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to join our Facilities team. This is a part-time, term-time position (0.5 FTE) from Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the College's facilities, including classrooms, offices, sports facilities, hospitality areas, and outdoor spaces.
Key ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize female toilets to ensure a hygienic environment
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated areas
Dust and wipe down surfaces such as countertops, sinks, and mirrors
Restock restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels
Perform litter picking duties both indoors and outdoors to maintain cleanliness around the school grounds
Follow established safety protocols and procedures while carrying out cleaning tasks
Report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the facilities manager
Be eligible to apply or hold a current working with children check (Blue Card)
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the duration of the shift
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
Understanding of and adherence to health and safety regulations
