With growth and changes comes new opportunity for Business Services Accountant role in our Toowoomba office.

We are excited to find the right candidate to grow our team, specialising in business services and taxation. This is the opportunity for candidates with relevant industry experience who wants to step up, have job ownership and grow with our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements and regulatory tax returns (Income tax, GST, FBT, CGT, SMSF, payroll tax)
  • Preparation of year end compliance workpapers and relevant required procedures in taxation services.
  • Application of Australian Taxation knowledge and principles.
  • Assist with tax planning for clients.
  • Communicating client queries with precision and timeliness.
  • Engaging proactively in client reviews and projects
  • Preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)

What We Look for:

  • Candidate should ideally possess 2-3 years and above level of experience in tax, SMSF and business services, or may be an exceptional post graduate with tangible industry experience (internships or work engagements).
  • Essential qualifications include relevant tertiary degrees such as a B.Commerce or equivalent.
  • Aspirations to pursue CPA qualifications, or currently underway
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivated, organised and strive for better output, with good interpersonal abilities.
  • Should be well versed with widely accepted accounting softwares of Xero, Intuit, Reckon, MYOB and others.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia or be eligible for employer sponsorship
  • Experience working with various entity types including companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders
