Forklift Driver

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia's largest grower and packer of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia's leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team on a casual full-time basis at our Pooraka Market Store.

As a valuable member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our market store operation. If you are reliable, energetic and have a passion for logistics we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Market Store Manager, you will be working collectively as part of a team assisting across a range of logistics operations.

Duties include:

• Safely, effectively and efficiently operate a forklift, ensuring operational needs are met without negative impacts to the customer or business.
• Complete a daily/weekly start-up checklist and report concerns to the supervisor or the maintenance department in a timely manner.
• Safely and efficiently operate forklift to transport bins, crates, pallets and load/unload trailers in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Pack customer orders and check the quality of materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensure compliance of different stacking requirements for each sku, customer and transport.
• Ensure all bins and crates are wrapped and labelled correctly before transporting.
• Maintain accurate records regarding movements of supplies, materials and products.
• Label and store produce in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Ensure paperwork is completed, verified and signed before submitting.
• Responsibility to understand the site's commitment to the ongoing compliance to the Freshcare Food Safety and Quality Standard
• Inform supervisor if there is a potential for product contamination.
• Observe and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Report and identify hazards, incidents including near misses or injuries which arise in the course of work.
• Maintain a focus on results to included improved quality, reliability, safety and processing capability.

Requirements:

• Full unrestricted Cass C driver's license.
• High risk forklift license.
• The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of production process and procedure.
• A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.
