Responsibilities include:
- Performing activities associated with assessing applications, quality assessment and compliance in accordance with the legislation and principles of good administrative decision making to support the regulatory authority to undertake its functions, escalating as required.
- Assessing incoming regulatory information such as notifications and complaints from ECEC providers and services, other government agencies as well as the general public, in accordance with the ECEC legislation.
- Identifying risks and issues, accurately interpreting legislation, exercising powers, gathering evidence and making recommendations to support delegated decision-makers.
Please view the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret and present evidence to support sound decision-making.
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with services, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage risk, prioritise workloads, and deliver projects and tasks efficiently within legislative timeframes.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills that reflect fairness, consistency, and good administrative practice.
- Commitment to working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to achieve quality regulatory outcomes.
Submit Your Application:

Who you are, where you come from, and a little about your cultural background and journey.
- A project, activity, or initiative you've been part of that shows your commitment to keeping culture strong and safe — and how this experience could help the Regulatory Authority work better with early childhood services and communities across the Far North Queensland region.
- How you would help create a workplace that is respectful, inclusive, and supportive of everyone — and how your knowledge could strengthen the way we regulate services under the National Quality Framework and Queensland Education and Care Services Act.
- Your vision for how cultural capacity can grow across the region and support a regulatory environment that prioritises the health, safety and wellbeing of children.
