The Canberra Labor Club is one of the most successful licensed clubs in the Canberra region, is very proud of its 50,000 strong membership and is well respected in the community.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Cellarperson to support the management team in efficient cellar and bar operations. This role is located at our Belconnen venue and will include driving between multiple sites with deliveries.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Restocking bars, assisting with stock take and cleaning beer lines
- Receiving stock deliveries
- Delivering stock across venues within the Group
- Staff supervision in the cellar
- General maintenance duties
- Moving furniture and setting up for functions
- A sound understanding of WHS management and a proactive approach to safety
- General bar duties on occassion.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Have a current RSA and Safe Food Hnalding certificates
- Have a current ACT drivers licence (manual)
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of modern cellar functions including knowledge of beer pumps and maintenance to ensure quality of beer products
- Be energetic and physically fit as this role requires manual handling
- Be able to work early starts
- Have the ability to multitask, be great at time management and be able to work unsupervised
- Experience in bar operations/customer service
- Ability to supervise staff
