Maintenance Fitter

BX Bunka Australia, specifically Steel-Line Garage Doors, a leading Garage Door Manufacturer in Australia boasts a wide range of premium products including but not limited to Roller Doors, Sectional Doors, Roller Shutters, Roller Grilles, Counterweight Doors and Folding Closures to the construction and shop fitting industries. Steel-Line has been in the industry for 40 years and continues to be a major contender with over twenty-one branches across Australia and total staff compliment of over 480 employees.

Steel-Line is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will be working in a clean exciting fast paced environment with the focus on the state-of-the-art automation equipment using your experience and fitting skills whilst learning modern technology like roll-forming, pressing, punching and other metal joining and packaging processes.

Working out of the Darra site, the successful incumbent will need the following.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years fitting experience
  • Trade qualified.
  • Be opened minded to work on new and exciting technology.
  • Be able to maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and embrace preventative maintenance methodologies.
  • Have sound mechanical / technical fitting experience.
  • Tooling/Die set experience highly desirable but not essential.
  • Roll-form machinery maintenance experience highly desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Basic workshop skills including welding and machining
  • Excellent communicator and willing to collaborate with team and site Engineers.
  • Forklift license essential.

This is a dayshift shift role with shift hours being from 8am - 4.06pm – negotiable.
