The Venue
An historical building that has housed a British-themed pub for the last 10 years, The Magee will become a local favourite with a fresh revival—reintroducing itself as a gastropub under ownership of passionate pub dining Publican Nick Gregorski previous owner of Hotel Restaurants of the year "The Alliance Hotel" and "Port Office Hotel".
Our dining room will be a nod to the classic pub experience, with a contemporary and elevated take on old favourites with a British and Modern Australian twist. Our Bar and beer garden offering will be a simple but delicious menu. The idea is simple: high-quality food in a welcoming, down-to-earth environment. While the bones of this historic building remain, the offering is fresh, creative, and most importantly welcoming. Whether it's a perfectly cooked Rib Fillet, a glass of red, a cold beer, or a quiet solo lunch in a cosy corner, The Magee will be the place to come for elevated food and friendly service. A place where regulars are known by name and new faces are always welcome.
The Role
We are now on the hunt for a Venue Manager to lead the team and the offer at 'The Magee'. As Venue Manager you will run the team, steer the fun and drive the business. This will be a hands-on, multifaceted role where no 2 days will be the same. W
- You will manage all components of staff management - from recruitment through to training and shift management
- You will have an unpretentious attitude, great communication skills, and a naturally friendly and engaging personality
- A sound knowledge of the Restaurant & Hospitality Industry, alongside an extensive knowledge of cocktail, spirits, wine, and beer and what is on trend
- Similar experience in an upmarket restaurant, bar or hotel
- has a passion and love for food & wine
- will drive and manage events within the venue
- will drive a work culture that is fun and informative
