Summerstar has a position available for a couple to work as Park Managers in full-time roles at the Ceduna Shelly Beach Caravan Park, South Australia.

Please note: There is not currently any roofed accommodation solely for the Park Managers residence and use, to be considered for this role, you must have your own Caravan, and we will provide a Powered Site.

Summerstar Tourist Parks is a group of family-owned and operated caravan and tourist parks in Western Australia and South Australia. We operate in the following locations:

Ceduna, Esperance, Walpole, Margaret River, Busselton, Jurien Bay, Geraldton, Horrocks Beach, Kalbarri, Nanga Shark Bay, Carnarvon, Eighty Mile Beach, Broome, Kununurra & Tom Price. We also have a Motel in Bunbury.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, 'hands-on' management team with a positive outlook and strong people skills. One of you will have strengths in office management, while the other will excel in groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks.

Common tasks performed by Park Managers include, but are not limited to:

Grounds & Maintenance

  • Park operations, organisation, and assisting in management, including 'after-hours' responsibilities
  • Groundskeeping tasks to maintain a high standard throughout the park, such as mowing lawns, garden maintenance, painting, room preparation, and bin management
  • Maintenance of park buildings and infrastructure

Reception and Administration

  • Reception duties, including answering the phone and handling check-ins/outs
  • Greeting guests by phone and in person in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Accurately recording reservation details, processing deposits, and providing guests with confirmation correspondence

Park Management

  • Managing overall park operations
  • Ensuring smooth park operations by addressing issues as they arise
  • Delivering proactive problem-solving solutions
  • Park maintenance and assist with capital works
  • Supporting the park's environmental and security programs
  • Assisting tenants, guests, and corporate clients
  • Cleaning rooms, ensuites, and amenities
  • Laundry duties and linen folding
  • Room servicing during guest stays

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Competent handyman and office skills
  • Physical fitness
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Sound understanding of business fundamentals
  • Computer literacy with RMS (or similar) experience

These are both 'hands-on' roles. As Park Managers of our Tourist Park, you will both be required to personally undertake the full range of park tasks with the support of Assistant Managers (to be recruited) and the rest of our team.
