Coolum Beach Christian College (CBCC) is seeking a experienced and dedicated Home Economics/Hospitality Teacher to join our Secondary School team.

Currently a .6FTE role, where applicants are able to deliver a wider range of subjects, potential exists to increase hours to full-time.

The Role

We are looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging and relevant Home Economics and Hospitality programs to secondary students. The successful candidate will foster a love for learning, encourage creativity and practical skills, and integrate a Christian worldview into their teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Home Economics and Hospitality subjects across Years 7–12.
  • Plan and deliver practical lessons in food preparation, nutrition, and hospitality.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised learning environment, including kitchen facilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular initiatives and events.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider College community.
About You

You are a practicing Christian and educator who:

  • Holds relevant teaching qualifications and registration with QCT.
  • Has experience or strong interest in Home Economics and/or Hospitality education.
  • Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and a heart for service.
  • Values collaboration and is eager to contribute to a supportive team culture.
  • Is passionate about nurturing students' gifts and guiding them in their faith journey.
