A traditional end-to-end contract management role focused on the execution and delivery of commercial projects valued between $5 and $50 million.

Client Details

Capability within small-scale renovations/maintenance projects and a commitment to continued development facilitated growth and development into more complex projects, including architectural homes, multi-unit developments, and institutional buildings. A reputation for reliability has enabled multiple and repeat projects with government agencies, educational institutions, and local councils.

Description

The responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and review financial reports and claims with particular emphasis on the management of subcontractor claims, invoices and overall project costs in relation to forecasts.
  • Provide analytical and market-driven research to shape the selection and subsequent engagement of subcontractors including negotiating terms and pricing, and management of performance in alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure the existing suite of contracts within the designated remit are managed in strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant legal frameworks; this includes but is not limited to the maintenance of accurate records, adherence to key contract milestones, and management of performance/obligations as per the contract.
  • The ability to autonomously prepare, manage, and evaluate the end-to-end tender process, including drafting tender documentation, managing pricing submissions, conducting negotiations, preparing evaluation and recommendation reports, and reviewing terms and conditions.

Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience developing, sourcing, and managing contracts within commercial construction/civil environments.
  • Demonstrated experience within negotiations across commercial savings, dispute/claim resolution, variations to terms and conditions etc.
  • A comprehensive understanding of contract law and the subsequent ability to identify and manage risks.
  • Tertiary qualifications within either engineering, or construction management.
