The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to take the lead across both our Northshore (Kallaroo) and Carine villages. This is a full-time, hands-on role that combines leadership, problem-solving, and technical know-how with a genuine commitment to safety, service, and community.You'll oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, support a small team, and ensure both villages run smoothly and safely.

About you

Reporting to the Village Manager and working closely with Village Services Managers, you'll demonstrate:

• Proven leadership and coordination skills - be able to supervise, support, and motivate a small Maintenance team and contractors while ensuring high standards of workmanship and accountability.
• Extensive hands-on maintenance experience - have strong technical ability across general repairs, facilities management, and minor works in residential or commercial settings.
• Commitment to safety and compliance - lead by example in safe work practices, PPE use, and WHS standards — including hazard identification, audits, incident reporting, and emergency readiness.
• Strong planning and problem-solving ability - use initiative to manage reactive and scheduled maintenance, prioritise workloads, and respond promptly to emerging issues.
• Proficiency in online systems - including Microsoft 365 and maintenance or contractor platforms (such as MaintainX and Rapid Global), to manage communication, scheduling, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you'll have a respectful, customer-focused approach when engaging with residents, staff, and contractors. You're well presented, personable, professional and adept at relationship-building.
• Professional conduct and integrity and respect – you'll maintain tidy, safe work environments and show discretion and respect within residents' homes and shared spaces.
• Sound administrative and organisational skills - balancing operational work with accurate documentation, contractor management, and compliance reporting.
• Flexibility and reliability - you'll balance hands-on operational work with administrative responsibilities, ensuring accurate documentation and consistent follow-up along with the ability to assist with urgent maintenance matters outside of standard hours when required.
• Collaborative and accountable approach - working closely with the Village Manager and Village Services Managers at both villages you'll support long-term maintenance planning and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Current C Class Driver's Licence, National Police Clearance, and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Construction White Card.

Desirable

• Qualifications in maintenance, business, or facilities management.
• Experience working in aged care, retirement living, or residential communities.
• Familiarity with MaintainX, Rapid Global, or similar systems.
• Experience supervising across multiple sites.
