About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educator to join our team at The Gap Early Childhood Centre on a casual basis (which will lead to a permanent position for the right applicant). As a Casual Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to the children in our centre.  You will bring your enthusiasm and passion for working with young children to the learning environment.  You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work autonomously and within a team environment.  The shifts will vary and include some early and late shifts.  We are seeking an educator with previous experience in an early childhood environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Actively engaging with children to support their learning, development and overall wellbeing
  • Planning and implementing engaging educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Observing children's progress and documenting their learning and development
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment
  • Communicating effectively with parents and families to build strong partnerships
  • Complying with all relevant childcare regulations and centre policies

What we're looking for

  • Candidate with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or studying Diploma
  • Experience working as an Educator in an early childhood setting
  • Strong knowledge of child development and the ability to plan and implement play-based learning programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their wellbeing
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications
  • Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
