About the role

Transform Formwork is seeking a site-based Design Engineer to join our growing team in Wetherill Park, NSW. As a full-time Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our innovative formwork solutions, working closely with our construction clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide design services for a range of formwork projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to understand requirements and develop tailored design solutions
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and design documentation to support construction activities
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and knowledge base
  • Assist with coordinating and managing the team on site, collaborating closely with team members to maintain smooth operations

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar design engineering role, preferably within the construction or formwork industry
  • Excellent technical design skills and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software such as AutoCAD (or similar)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and project teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
