About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Literature Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our secondary school students. The role will involve teaching VCE English Literature and Middle School English classes.

This is an ongoing position with the option of part-time 0.5 to full-time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering engaging English Literature lessons that challenge and inspire students across Middle School and VCE
• Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to support their learning
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and assessment strategies
• Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
• Continuously improving your teaching practice through professional development and reflection

Role Requirements

• VIT Registration is essential along with relevant tertiary qualification
• Solid experience in teaching English Literature to VCE students and Middle year levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate with the broader school community
