About the role

As a Senior Skoda/Volkswagen Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing Volkswagen vehicles at the Jacob Group of Companies' workshop located in Wodonga, VIC 3690. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work with the latest Volkswagen technology and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinate workshop jobs and assist the team of mechanics
  2. Diagnose and repair a wide range of Volkswagen vehicle models and systems, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems
  3. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake inspections
  4. Utilise the latest diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve complex issues
  5. Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
  6. Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on vehicle maintenance and repair requirements
  7. Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

What we're looking for

  1. Experience as a technician or equivalent
  2. Comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose and repair
  3. Strong technical skills, including the use of diagnostic equipment and tools
  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  5. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively
  6. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest Volkswagen technologies
  7. Valid driver's licence
