Day to day work includes council works, rail corridor works, commercial contract work such as street and road clearing, Property maintenance work on residential and large commercial premises, Bushfire clean up, Storm/Insurance work, Residential and Strata work.

About the role

The Co-Ordinator will be a talented and well rounded mechanic who can identify and solve issues within the Fleet to keep our wheels spinning. We have a range of equipment in out yards including Isuzu trucks, Bandit and Rayco Grinders, Hansa chippers, Hyundai and Kobelco excavators, Mercedes EWP, to name a few

Based at our KURNELL yard, you will play a vital role in servicing our fleet so our crew are safe and our machines are operating at their best.

Duties involved:

  • Maintain and repair plant vehicles, and fleet equipment, including trucks, chippers, stump grinders and small plant items
  • Assist with sourcing and purchasing new equipment when required
  • Ensure vehicles and equipment are road ready, safe and reliable
  • Carry out maintenance and preventative maintenance programs on trucks and machinery, keeping accurate records
  • Support the outsourcing of repairs and maintenance to approved service providers when needed.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of commonly used items
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers regarding parts warranties or technical support
  • Provide an onsite breakdown service, including fixing issues such as brake problems if required (vehicle and tools taken from yard)
  • Act in the role of Mechanical Workshop Supervisor and Fleet Supervisor
  • Demonstrate commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles
  • Supervise and guide apprentice
  • Complete tasks and duties in a timely manner
  • Keep workshop clean and organised to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Must have:

  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • White Card
  • HR Licence
  • Welding experience (desirable)
  • Minor auto electric experience (desirable)
  • Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (AUR preferred)
