Join SA Health as a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Flinders Medical Centre, where you'll deliver specialist care in a leading tertiary hospital while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours. About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Unit Gastroenterology and Hepatology, some of your duties for the role will include:
- Ensures provision of quality inpatient and outpatient care for acute and chronic diseases relevant to the Unit's scope of operation
- In service teaching/training/education of medical students, doctors, nursing, scientific and paramedical staff, especially of Advanced trainees
- Ensures provision of regular supervisory ward rounds for inpatients that involve resident and registrar staff plus appropriate health care professionals
- Participation in FU U/G teaching programs and in hospital teaching programs for FRACP is expected
About you:
- Skilled endoscopist, including proficiency in endoscopy of patients with acute upper GI haemorrhage
- Obvious ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Conduct of clinical audits and practice improvement programs
- Ability to function effectively in a busy clinical environment involving multidisciplinary staff
