We're seeking experienced GCP / Google Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to support major federal government cloud transformation programs commencing January 2026. These roles offer long-term contract stability, high earning potential, and the opportunity to work on nationally significant cloud initiatives.

About the Role

You will design, build, and support secure and scalable Google Cloud (GCP) environments across complex government programs. Roles vary by level, including engineering delivery, cloud automation, migration, platform architecture, and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support GCP cloud solutions
  • Build secure architectures across networking, IAM, compute, GKE, and storage
  • Deliver cloud automation (Terraform, CI/CD)
  • Lead or support cloud migration & modernisation projects
  • Produce high-quality documentation, designs, and operational artefacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional cloud, security, and DevOps teams

You need

  • Australian Citizenship + Baseline security clearance (Ideal)
  • 5+ years in cloud engineering or architecture
  • Strong hands-on GCP experience (VPC, IAM, GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Terraform, scripting and DevOps tooling
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Federal government or secure environment experience highly regarded
