We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our clients Institutional Sales team in a Hybrid Sales & Trade Execution position. This unique role combines the responsibilities of client acquisition and relationship management with the critical function of executing trades as a DTR. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain client trust.

This position will support the Equities and Derivatives Sales Advisory team, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new high-net-worth and institutional clients, providing tailored investment solutions, and executing trades in compliance with regulatory standards. You will manage the full trade lifecycle, from generating deal flow and presenting opportunities to ensuring trades are accurately captured, reconciled, and compliant.

Our client is quite open to profiles but ideally seeking candidates with over 2 years experience in equity markets with prior Trade Execution experience from a broking Dealers Assistant / Associate Adviser / DTR / or Equity Trade Support style backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and attract new high-net-worth clients and institutional investors.
  • Execute trades accurately and efficiently on behalf of clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
  • Understand client financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences to provide tailored advice and solutions.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices
  • Present and explain complex financial products and services clearly and concisely.
  • Monitor market conditions and client portfolios to identify potential trading opportunities or risks
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Reconcile trade details and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and competitor activities.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Work alongside the corporate team to deliver deal flow to the existing database and ensure the knowledge of each deal is shared amongst the client base
  • Maintain accurate and organized trading records.
  • Collaborate with the operations and compliance teams to ensure smooth and compliant trading operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar sales or trade execution role within the financial services industry.
  • Licenses/Certifications: ASIC RG 146 compliance (essential).
  • Appropriate DTR accreditation and relevant trading licenses (ideal but not required).
  • Proven sales track record and ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and trading platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in trading execution.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and financial analysis tools.
