The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia's highest-grade copper mine.
We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.
Are you an experienced Maintenance Planner looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic underground mining environment? We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Mobile Maintenance Planner to support our team in maintaining and optimising mobile mining equipment.
About the Role:
As a Mobile Maintenance Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our underground mobile fleet. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for underground mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, and ancillary equipment.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities with mechanical trades, supervisors, and operations teams.
- Maintain and update the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) with accurate job plans and work orders.
- Identify and order required parts and materials to ensure work is completed efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintenance trends to drive improvements in reliability and availability.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies in all planning activities.
About You:
- Previous experience in a maintenance planning role within an underground or heavy industry environment.
- Strong understanding of underground mobile mining equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in using CMMS systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Pulse, or similar).
- Trade qualification in mechanical, heavy diesel, or related field (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
