About Alexon:

Alexon specialises in the maintenance of critical fire prevention, warning, suppression, and protection systems. Our Depot is located at inner-city Port Melbourne but out work spans Metro Melbourne area. For over 20 years our company has maintained fire protection assets for optimum performance in over 4,000 buildings across Victoria in low- and high-density residential apartments, shopping centres, schools, commercial and industrial buildings encompassing private, corporate and government sectors.

We take fire protection seriously and guarantee fire prevention assets under our control are always ready for emergency use.

About the role:

Due to continual growth, we are seeking a Portables service technician to be responsible for:

  • Portable fire equipment testing
  • Hose reel and fire hydrant system testing (unpumped only)
  • Access and egress testing
  • Fire & and exit door testing.
  • Testing of Exit and emergency lighting
  • Reporting via our Uptick system

About you:

  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • A go-getter with great motivation
  • Hold a current non restricted Victorian drivers' licence
  • White card
  • Working with children's check and Police check
  • 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccination is essential for the role
  • VBA registered in unpumped hydrants highly desirable
  • Uptick experience is highly desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Australian standards and code
