Chef/ Cook

Stellarossa Morayfield is undergoing expansion, and as a result, we are seeking additional team members to enhance our commitment to delivering the exceptional 'Stellarossa Experience' to our guests consistently.

The Opportunity:

Currently, we need a skilled chef/Cook that possess a genuine passion for food and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Are you the legend we are after?

The ideal candidates will be capable of working weekends on a 5-day rotating roster including weekends, demonstrating both independent work capability and collaborative teamwork within the kitchen. While prior experience is required, we are willing to provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to facilitate skill development. Operating within a dynamic, full-service café environment, we promise to keep the role engaging and stimulating.

To be eligible for consideration for this role, candidates should exhibit the following qualities:

• Ability to ensure visually appealing plate presentations.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and capacity to work autonomously.
• Proficiency in maintaining kitchen equipment and cleanliness standards.
• Competence in preparing and cooking dishes according to our recipes.
• Adherence to food safety regulations, including proper food preparation and storage practices in line with HACCP legislation.
• Capability to organize daily tasks and occasionally supervise kitchen assistants or junior staff.
• Motivation for personal growth and skill development
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit
• Compliance with relevant workplace health and safety regulations
• Valid Australian residency or work rights

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 2 years of café or casual dining cooking experience is required for this position.
• Cookery qualifications are highly regarded.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with confidence during busy service periods.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene principles and possession of, or willingness to obtain, a food handler certificate.
• Flexibility in working hours, as the role will require weekend availability.
