Category 5 and Orontide have teamed up to build a strong pool of skilled Blasters / Painters to support rolling shutdowns and ongoing projects across WA. By joining our pool, you'll gain access to:

About the Role:

  • Perform abrasive blasting to clean and prepare metal surfaces to industry standards
  • Apply industrial coatings, primers, and protective paints
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Operate equipment safely while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in abrasive blasting & painting
  • Minimum C Class Driver's Licence
  • Able to complete online and onsite inductions
  • Pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Strong commitment to safety and positive safety culture
  • Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

Desirable Tickets & Qualifications:

  • Elevated Work Platform (HRWL), Working at Heights, Confined Space
  • Maritime Security Induction Card (MSIC)
  • Certificate III in Surface Preparation
  • High Risk Licence with EWP
  • UHP Ticket

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Complete online and onsite inductions
  • Pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Ability to provide two most recent work references
