Tedesca is searching for a well rounded and creative individual who can manage a section and help guide people through our wonderful wine selection.
Because we are a set menu dining experience your role is freed up to host and discuss wine matches and possibilities.
You will become a story teller and creator of connections - sharing the provenance of our food and the people behind it.
You will need a love of conviviality and find wine fascinating and engaging.
We work five days a week, but just serve 4 long lunches from Friday to Monday. Our own health and mental well-being are absolute priorities in how - and how much - we choose to work.
You will be engaged daily with our garden team, the cellar manager, the kitchen crew, the accommodation manager and the broader Tedesca world of contributing artists, architects and growers. We dine together at least once a week and expect active participation in the intellectual life of running a restaurant from everyone on the team.
We often embark on outings to grow our own knowledge of how other like minded restaurants are working, to visit simpatico winemakers or to experience projects in food and the arts that can inspire us. You are absolutely expected to take part - both physically and mentally.
You will be paid properly - above award, and receive a share of tips with access to wine discounts, incredible daily staff meals and assistance in finding accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula if required.
Tedesca currently holds Two Hats (Goodfood), 3 Glasses (Winelist of the Year) and has been Australian Gourmet Traveler Restaurant of the Year.
