Role Purpose
As the Wellbeing Coordinator you will apply a healthy ageing, well-being approach to supporting the women (former residents) of the Good Shepherd in Western Australia. You'll provide individual support that helps women stay active, independent, and engaged in their community. Built on trusting and caring relationships, go beyond hands-on support and contribute to longevity of the Good Shepherd Women and their endeavors.

Be apart of a collaborative and supportive national team that works closely to support a common collective. You will provide on-call support on a three-week rotational basis (Recall is infrequent).

Located around Leederville, you can expect car travel around Perth and infrequent interstate travel. Good Shepherd provides transport support in the form of pool cars and/or km allowances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support women to maintain independence and wellbeing through practical, evidence-based strategies
  • Monitor and report changes in health, safety, or behaviour, and respond promptly to incidents or concerns
  • Respect individual backgrounds, beliefs, and preferences while supporting informed choices in care
  • Provide personal care support as relevant to the individual
  • Support daily living tasks such as shopping, emotional enrichment, medication preparation etc.
  • Attend coordinate, and support social outings such as medical appointments, hospital visits, and special events
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet individual needs

About You

  • Qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health or Social Work at Diploma level or higher are essential
  • Experience working in the community including contact with community services providers; home care package/CHSP providers or other relevant providers is highly desirable
  • Experience in health services provision to older people, nursing, allied health, social work or other relevant area
  • Ability to work flexibly, where no two days the same
  • Enjoy a consultative approach with each person at the centre of decision making
  • Work amongst a collaborative and supportive team that encourages regular supervision/debriefing
  • Clear verbal communication skills to engage effectively with older clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate
