About the Early Years Place

The Early Years Place is a universal service designed to support families with young children (aged 0–8 years) and expectant parents in Caboolture and surrounding areas. It's a welcoming space where children and families can learn, build connections, and access valuable support services. Our offerings include family support, children's programs, playgroups, child health and midwife clinics, parenting programs, and professional development for the early childhood sector.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team ASAP on a part-time basis (16 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster community engagement and strengthen connections.
  • Provide and enhance referral pathways to support children and families in transitioning to early childhood education, kindergarten, and school.
  • Collaborate with Early Childhood Services, Family Support Coordinators, and Queensland Health to ensure seamless transitions for children and their families.
  • Build proactive partnerships through an outreach model with community services, local Elders, service networks, playgroups, and community events.
  • Support continuous improvement and program evaluation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough record-keeping of data.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Qualifications: A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and/or a qualification in Community Services (highly regarded).
  • Expertise: A solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Compliance: A current Blue Card and up to date First Aid/CPR certification, including asthma and anaphylaxis.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with young children and their families, with community engagement experience being highly regarded.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Commitment: A dedication to creating culturally safe environments and ensuring child safety.
