Head of Planning

Melbourne, Australia (Relocation and visa application organised and paid for)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Hands-on across range building and WSSI reporting (advanced level)
  • Lead trade meetings and drive actions across markdowns, promotions, and underperforming categories
  • Manage the sign-off process and ensure timely delivery of planning outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with Branch, Buying, Retail Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 2 Planners, 2 Assistant Planners, and 2 Allocation Analysts

Experience & Background required

  • Strong background in apparel or fashion planning within a Bricks & Mortar Retail environment the UK or EU markets
  • Experience managing large store networks (50+ stores) - concession and DFO experience highly regarded
  • At least 3 years at Management or Head of level
  • Action-oriented, decisive communicator who can influence and drive outcomes
  • Advanced system skills (Excel, WSSI; Power BI advantageous)
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-signoff environment
  • Proven leadership or mentoring capability (Planner or AP level)
  • Commercially minded, strategic, and analytical with a passion for numbers and storytelling
  • Ability to present to Senior Stakeholders including GM,s, MD & CEO
