Junkyard Skips Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of waste and recycling materials across the local area. This is a casual role with flexible hours, allowing you to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate a heavy rigid truck to collect and deliver waste and recycling materials
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
  • Maintain accurate records of pick-ups, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials as required
  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients
  • Comply with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Truck Driver in the waste management or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and safety practices
  • Excellent driving skills and attention to detail
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • A commitment to providing high-quality customer service
