About the role

We are seeking an experienced Yardman to join our dynamic team at Want Access' facility in Smeaton Grange, NSW. As a Yardman, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our busy warehouse and distribution facility. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our thriving logistics company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinating the movement and storage of materials, goods and equipment within the yard
  2. Operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts
  3. Ensuring the yard and storage areas are kept clean, tidy and well-organised
  4. Assisting with the receiving, sorting and dispatching of equipment deliveries and returns
  5. Washing and prepping machinery for painting.
  6. Painting equipment
  7. Providing support to the wider warehouse and logistics team as needed

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Yardman or in a similar role.
  2. Forklift licence and demonstrated proficiency in operating EWP & materials handling equipment
  3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organised work environment
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  5. Familiarity with inventory management systems and record-keeping procedures
  6. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  7. Must have valid Australian work rights
  8. Valid driver's licence and reliable own transport required
  9. Physical fitness required as role involves regular lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions
