What you'll be doing

The Nurse Manager, Clinical Safety, Quality and Practice Development provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care across the Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service and the Health Contact Centre.

The position drives continuous improvement in clinical safety, quality and practice development standards, supports accreditation processes and compliance with National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards, and leads initiatives that enhance clinical capability, evidence-based practice, and workforce development across the service.

This role works collaboratively with service managers, multidisciplinary teams and external partners to strengthen systems for clinical governance, performance monitoring, and quality outcomes.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration, appropriate tertiary qualifications and substantial, contemporary experience in leading and implementing clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation and review processes, risk management systems, and relevant NSW Health legislation and policies.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to manage projects, prioritise competing demands, lead change and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
