  • Far North Queensland cattle station.
  • Mustering, Yard Work & general station duties.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Mustering with four-wheelers across timbered terrain.
  • Assisting in the yards.
  • Managing lick runs and distributing hay.
  • Performing fencing maintenance.
  • Carrying out other general station tasks as required.
Selection Criteria:
  • Preference will be given to third-year station hands.
  • Candidates with a strong rural background who can handle these responsibilities will also be considered, including those in their second season.
  • Accommodation is available for males only.
  • Experience is necessary; while training will be provided, candidates should generally be capable, possess cattle knowledge, and be somewhat handy in the yards.
  • Solid mechanical skills are essential to maintain and service your own four-wheeler.
  • A current driver's license is mandatory.
  • Personal transportation is preferred.
Additional Particulars:
  • The homestead/house compound is beautifully surrounded by gardens and a lovely lawn, creating a secluded oasis.
  • Accommodation for male only station hands is in a spacious, modern shared house with an inground swimming pool.
  • An airstrip is available on the property with weekly air mail delivery.
  • Station managers will prepare meals for the staff; breakfast is typically self-served, while substantial meals will be provided of an evening.
  • Smoking indoors is prohibited.
  • Pig dogs nor shooting are NOT permitted on this property.
  • Wi-Fi is accessible; however, there is no mobile service. All calls must be made via Wi-Fi calling.
  • An attractive daily rate can be negotiated based on experience.
