Trade Machinist - Day Shift (Revesby, Sydney)

We are seeking a skilled Trade Machinist to join our team at our Revesby site in Sydney. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and grinding machines to manufacture precision components to the highest standards.

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent position
• Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (38 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centres, milling machines, and grinders (universal, internal, external, and surface).
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings with accuracy, ensuring dimensions and tolerances are achieved.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials for machining processes.
• Use precision measuring equipment (vernier gauges, dial gauges, micrometers, etc.) to verify product quality.
• Input/edit CNC programs (including G-code), adjust machining factors, and troubleshoot operations as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies and WHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified with 3-5 years' hands-on experience in a precision engineering or toolmaking environment.
• Strong CNC setup, programming, and operational skills.
• Proficient with CAD/CAM software and/or G-code programming.
• Ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings.
• Self-motivated with a high standard of workmanship and minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
