Senior School HPE Teacher – Permanent 1.0 FTE Position Commencing 2026

The role

Are you passionate about inspiring young people to lead healthy, active lives? We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our Senior School team in a full-time, permanent role commencing January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact across Years 7–12, delivering engaging and inclusive HPE programs that promote wellbeing, resilience, and lifelong learning. The ability to teach Outdoor Education General is highly desirable, offering a chance to take learning beyond the classroom.

Selection Criteria

  • Genuine enthusiasm for engaging students in HPE, fostering curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Proven ability to design creative and inclusive learning experiences that cater to a range of student abilities and interests.
  • Confident in using digital tools to enhance learning and bring curriculum content to life.
  • Solid grasp of the Years 7–12 curriculum, with a commitment to supporting diverse learners, including those with additional needs.
  • Passionate about student wellbeing and eager to contribute to the school's co-curricular life.
  • Skilled in creating a positive classroom environment through effective behaviour management and clear expectations.
  • Flexible and responsive teaching style that puts student needs at the centre of learning.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families.

About You

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Previous teaching experience, ability to teach Outdoor Education General is highly desirable.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Hold a current TRBWA qualification.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Respect the values, traditions and Anglican ethos of the School.
