About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Down south bakery as a Barista/Cafe all rounder. Working in a fast-paced and vibrant cafe environment, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee creations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the broader operations of the busy bakery. This is a casual role approx 20-30 hours a week located in Lonsdale, SA 5160.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and tea beverages
  • Providing friendly and attentive customer service to create a welcoming cafe experience
  • Assisting with food preparation, restocking, and general cafe duties as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the cafe

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service-focused role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Barista or in a customer service-focused hospitality role
  • Strong knowledge of coffee making and the ability to consistently produce high-quality beverages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service
  • A friendly, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with cash handling and basic food preparation procedures
  • Must be available for early morning shifts and Saturdays
  • Must have valid work rights in Australia
