Warwick West State School is seeking a Cleaner to work on a part-time basis.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to provide high-level cleaning support.

You will join a dedicated team that strives to create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and the wider community.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.54FTE), 41hours per fortnight.

About the Role

School cleaners play a vital role in maintaining a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks and security responsibilities to ensure the school remains a safe and welcoming space.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, buffing, and waste disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness in classrooms, toilets, offices, sick bay, communal areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure functionality and hygiene.
  • Support basic site security procedures, including locking and unlocking buildings.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to relevant personnel.

This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated to contribute to a clean and safe school environment.

About You

  • High attention to detail and initiative to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of departmental cleaning policies and procedures.

Mandatory Requirement:

  • When working in regulated employment, an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
