Based primary at our Distribution Centre in Truganina, with ad hoc days based at our Support Office in Malvern, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented
Quality Control Co-ordinator
to join the GAZMAN team
As the Quality Control Co-ordinator, you will collaborate closely with the product teams at Support Office to conduct detailed inspections of incoming bulk shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting store-level issue resolution, and collaborating with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure all products meet GAZMAN's quality and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Conduct detailed inspections of incoming shipments at the DC to ensure compliance with GAZMAN standards and approved samples
- Schedule and coordinate inspection activities with the DC, shipping, and production teams
- Clearly report inspection results and issues to the QA Manager in a timely manner
- Systematically maintain inspection records and documentation for traceability
- Visit stores periodically to assess product issues, conduct inspections, and collect faulty samples for further investigation
- Monitor and analyse faulty return reports and store feedback weekly to identify recurring quality issues
- Communicate directly with suppliers regarding quality concerns and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Liaise with suppliers regarding product concerns and ensure resolution through follow-up actions
- Review AQL reports and lab test reports submitted by suppliers and provide timely feedback
- Track submission timelines for AQL inspections and test reports to ensure on-time delivery
- Liaise with store teams and customer care team to provide feedback on quality related concerns and retrieve faulty samples for investigation and root cause analysis
- Carry sealed samples from Support Office to DC regularly — own car required for transport between sites
- Support product and QA teams in troubleshooting quality issues and implementing improvements
- Ensure that all garments comply with GAZMAN quality standards and Australian regulations
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of QC procedures, supplier evaluation, and internal documentation
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary or related qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in the garment industry, with exposure to both knit and woven categories, including accessories
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric types, and performance standards
- Familiarity with AQL inspection procedures and lab test report reviews
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle quality issues
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Comfortability working in both Distribution centre and office environments
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle required for inter-site travel
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective cross-functional collaboration.
