Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interrogating the financial model for financing mandates including creating and running of sensitivities and checking integrity
  • Providing day to day transaction support including structuring, pricing, preparing of credit applications, undertaking detailed financial analysis and due diligence analysis and assisting the deal team leader to provide best-in-class lending and advisory services to the client base
  • The ability to prepare, customise, optimise and maintain the financial model supporting financial advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities, will be considered favourably
  • Ability to review and, where appropriate, supervise financial modelling tasks (undertaken by junior staff where appropriate), and completing more complex modelling tasks where required.
  • Staying abreast of developments across different sectors, as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market
  • Respecting all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of advisory & lending transactions
  • Managing internal processes relating to the lending and advisory business (e.g. updating databases, credit application writing, completing relevant internal system-based processes)
  • Identifying potential marketing opportunities and preparing pitch material (including reviewing feasibility studies, detailed analysis of financial models, etc.) which may include financial advisory pitches
  • Starting to establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients
  • Supervision / development of junior team members (where appropriate) including appropriate delegation and review of certain tasks suitable to the skills and experience of those junior team members whilst maintaining a high quality of overall team execution

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law) or a professional financial qualification
  • Experience in structured finance environment utilising similar tools, processes and procedures will be favourably considered
  • Proven ability to succeed in a similar or related role, demonstrated through relevant projects, responsibilities, or achievements.
  • Post graduate qualifications considered favourably
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including strong financial modelling skills
  • Experience in generating pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients' needs
  • Strong numerical skills with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and cashflows
