Details: Policy and Cabinet Division, under the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate, is seeking an appropriately qualified person to fill the position of Executive Branch Manager, Wellbeing Branch.
The ACT Government is committed to placing wellbeing at the centre of decision-making. The Wellbeing Branch leads the implementation and evolution of the ACT Wellbeing Framework, embedding wellbeing thinking into government policy, investment, and service delivery.
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to join the Policy and Cabinet Division as the Executive Branch Manager, Wellbeing Branch. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team responsible for driving whole-of-government wellbeing initiatives, building evidence and insights, and engaging with stakeholders across government and the community.
As a senior executive, you will:
- Lead the continued development and implementation of the ACT Wellbeing Framework.
- Provide high-level strategic policy advice to Ministers, Cabinet, and senior executives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across government and with external stakeholders to embed wellbeing into policy and program design.
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven team culture.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic policy environment.
We are seeking a leader who is motivated to improve outcomes for the Canberra community, with a strong track record in strategic policy development, stakeholder engagement, and public sector leadership.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as public policy, economics, law, or management are highly desirable.
Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $288,060 - $298,258, depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $254,964.
Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that details of long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
