Silviculture / Forestry – Establishment Worker

A & M Contracting Pty Ltd are hiring – located in Mount Gambier SA

and working throughout the lower south east of South Australia and

Western Victoria.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with forest establishment / maintenance tasks. E.g. Planting,

Competition Control, Tree Marking, Inventory / Surveys, Weed Control, Fire

Suppression

  • Operate tools & equipment safely and effectively

  • Follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental standards

  • Work in outdoor environments across varied terrain and weather

conditions

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in forest establishment and maintenance is essential

  • CFA or CFS qualifications / accreditation is essential

  • Driver's licence is essential
    • Class C (car) driver's licence is required - Class MR preferred.

  • 4WD experience is preferred

  • Chainsaw / polesaw / brushcutter accreditation and experience is

essential

  • Chem Cert accreditation is preferred

  • First Aid training is preferred

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

  • Reliable, punctual, and safety / WHS conscious

  • Able to be flexible with work arrangements

Remuneration:

Wages based on Silviculture Award and will range between $70,000 and

$95,000+ and Super.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
