Are you passionate about food and ready to be a vital part of a dynamic kitchen team? Heyder & Shears is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our Head Office kitchen in East Perth.

Working under the guidance of our Executive Chef, Head Chef, and Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. From assisting with food prep to maintaining a spotless workspace, your support helps our chefs focus on what they do best – creating exceptional cuisine.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting in basic food preparation – washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
  • Maintaining cleanliness across all kitchen areas and equipment
  • Washing dishes, cookware, and utensils to keep service flowing
  • Organising supplies and helping with inventory management
  • Ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling procedures
  • Receiving and storing deliveries following food safety guidelines
  • Supporting event setup and breakdown as needed
  • Following strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Providing general assistance to the kitchen team as required

What We're Looking For:

  • A team player with a strong work ethic and great attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Previous kitchen experience (preferred but not essential)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $28.00 – $40.27 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Afternoon shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Weekend availability

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Required)
