About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Digital Solutions and Years 7-10 Digital Technologies Teacher to join our Secondary School in a full-time ongoing capacity from January 2026.

The successful applicant will inspire students to think critically and creatively as they explore digital systems, coding, and emerging technologies, contributing to a forward-thinking program recognised for its innovation and impact.

What you will do:

  • Teach Digital Technology across Years 7–10 and Digital Solutions in Years 11 & 12, fostering student curiosity, collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum, QCAA and College programs and frameworks.
  • Embrace creative and innovative approaches to promote real-world application throughout the subject area.
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Be supportive of and excited for involvement in co-curricular areas that bring your passion for Digital Technologies to the forefront through our co-curricular programs such as coding, robotics, or Makerspace.

What you bring:

You will be an educator who:

  • Demonstrates a passion for digital technologies and 21st century learning.
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Digital Technologies (or related field).
  • Has knowledge and/or experience in Senior Secondary Digital Solutions (QCAA) and Years 7-12 Digital Technologies or similar subjects.
  • Has experience in programming, computational thinking, or digital systems. Experience or knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C#, C++ (or other modern coding environments) and Apple's coding platforms (including Swift and SwiftUI) would be an advantage.
  • A teacher who values creativity, curiosity, and meaningful use of technology.
  • A genuine curiosity about AI and its role in education, including its safe and ethical use with students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their academic potential and use critical thinking.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility.
  • Supports the Anglican ethos and values of the College — respect, compassion, curiosity, courage, engagement, and commitment.
