About the role

Westside Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time Medical (Radiology) Receptionist to join our team in Bonnyrigg and Wetherill Park, NSW. As a Medical (Radiology) Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering incoming calls and responding to enquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and maintaining accurate appointment records
  • Assisting with patient registration and managing patient information in our database
  • Performing various administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and maintains a clean, professional appearance
  • Providing general support to the radiologist and clinical team as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a radiology or diagnostic imaging practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and colleagues in a warm and professional manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow
  • Proficiency in using various office software applications such as Microsoft Office suite
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work in a team environment and adapt to the changing needs of the clinic
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology, particularly relating to radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Experience with Medicare billing, bulk billing processes, and understanding of healthcare rebates including work-cover.
