Electrical Engineer

YOUR NEW ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team.  Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical and safety control systems across a diverse range of high-performance machinery. Your role will require strong technical expertise in both hardware and control software systems.  Your key responsibilities include:

• Design and develop electrical systems and control panels for industrial motion equipment, including PCB designs
• Develop integrated control systems with a focus on safety PLCs and functional safety
• Select and integrate motors, gearboxes, VSDs, frequency drives, and servo systems
• Lead system commissioning, testing, and documentation, both in-house and onsite
• Collaborate with the team to develop and test prototypes

ABOUT YOU

As an experienced Electronic Engineer, you will be practical, hands-on and able to create technically accurate designs. You will bring your experience in electronic circuits, PCB design tools and electronic designs to this fast-paced and high-performing team.  You will also bring the following skills / attributes:

• Formal qualifications in Electrical engineering and/or Electrical Design
• Strong knowledge of motors, VSDs, servo systems, power braking, and industrial automation
• Hands-on experience with safety PLCs and overarching control architecture
• Demonstrated experience with motors, gearboxes, electrical braking, hoists, trolleys, pile winds, drive controllers and electrical safety systems
