Automotive Electrician – Heavy Vehicles (Trucks & Trailers)

Location: Bayswater, VIC

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (no overtime required)

You'll be carrying out electrical fit-outs, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades—playing a key role in ensuring these heavy vehicles are built and finished to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations and fit-outs on heavy vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair wiring, lighting, switches, and control systems.
  • Install and service alternators, starter motors, and batteries.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and system checks.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with production and mechanical teams.
  • Maintain accurate job records and ensure safety compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Trade-qualified Automotive Electrician (Cert III or equivalent).
  • Experience with heavy vehicles or trailers preferred.
  • Skilled in diagnostics, wiring, and electrical fit-outs.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics.
  • Safety-conscious and team-oriented.
