What You'll Be Doing
Understand and interpret retail business needs and translate in to appropriate analytical methodologies whose outputs deliver the desired business benefits and outcomes

Key Duties And Deliverables
Divisional, One Data and External Partner management

  • Identify the key actionable insights from advanced analytics and translate into clear business relevant recommendations including supporting the activation through pilots and productionised roll-out.
  • Apply appropriate leading practice analytical methods and techniques in an agile, pragmatic way that reflects the needs, constraints and KPIs of the business (e.g. time, cost, quality, data availability).
  • Create business enthusiasm and demand for the use of Advanced Analytics through the effective communication and translation of advanced analytical techniques into commercial concepts that can be easily understood by business end users.
  • Deliver a seamless, and proactive service to stakeholders through the effective articulation of the customer opportunity, commercial benefit, analytical findings and data driven insight recommendations. Showcase, benchmark and quantify the value and outcomes of analytics based decision making.
  • Contribute to the direction, development and implementation of the data and analytics strategy, roadmap and knowledge base within the OneData, OneDigital and Divisional analytics teams.
  • Research and apply new Advanced Analytics opportunities in areas of prediction, regression, machine learning, and broader Artificial Intelligence applications in the identification and realisation of new opportunities for the business.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders and across various Leadership teams to improve their understanding and knowledge of data science techniques and so the value from becoming a data driven organisation

What You'll Bring To The Table

  • Ability to visually present modelling outputs, insights, and findings for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
  • Business and commercial acumen
  • Analytics professional with a minimum of 3 years' experience in advanced analytics positions, and a total of 5 years' experience in data-related roles
  • Track record in designing and delivering data driven actionable solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of statistical and machine learning modelling concepts and processes such as, dimension reduction, hyperparameter tuning, feature selection, data sampling, and model evaluation
  • Experience implementing statistical and machine learning models such as GLM, Time Series Modelling, Neural Networks, Decision Tree Ensemble Methods, Clustering etc.
  • Extensive experience with at least in Python and Sql
  • Ability to engage and influence business users in the opportunity and benefit from data driven decisions
  • Experience with one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Productionising models, including testing frameworks
  • Cloud, container, query languages and database technologies
